I have searched the Mass chart and the web but cant find the times. Tmy2 is 1+25 for 5 minutes but that is for the old emulsion. Does anyone know the correct starting point for the Tmy2 new emulsion.

Tmx is 1+25 for 6 minutes but that is from a earlier version of Tmx. Does anyone have a good starting point for the modern version of Tmx.

Thank you!

Good Afteroon, KPT,

Various users have different preferred developers, dilutions, and times. My own starting point for TMX is 10 minutes in regular T-Max 1:7 from concentrate; for TMY, I use about a minute less. The dilutions you mention, however, suggest something like Rodinal rather than T- Max developer. I've never used Rodinal for T-Max films, but someone else, no doubt, will soon chime in with some ideas.

I used to do a lot of Tmax 100 in Rodinal, but it was the older version. I used 12 minutes, 1+50, 68 degrees (20 C). That should be fine as a starting point. I never liked Tmax 400 in Rodinal, but I haven't tried it with the newest version there either. I usually use D76 or Tmax developer for Tmax 400, and I have only done the TMY-2 version in D76 1+1

Konical, Chris Thank you very much for responding to my question.

doughowk, After looking over several other developer times with this film i came to estimate it at 4:45 for a starting point. I was worried about my guess but you seem to have apx simular times and great results so im nolonger worried and will develop the Tmy2 now. Thank you very much for your knowledge and time!
