Has anyone tried developing 35mm film using chemicals from the developer pod of instant film?

The pod basically contains a monobath (developer/fixer combo). It even contains a white pigment. Instant film is expensive, outdated film has dried-out processing gel.
The more benefitial way would be to mix such developer from scratch.
