I’ve just picked up some old 120 film, all well out of date and discontinued formulations.

Where can I find dev times for HP5 and FP4 (expired around 1990, before the move to the ‘plus’ version). I have searched, but assumed most results referred to the current versions, HP5+ and FP4+.

I also have a few rolls of Fuji Neopan SSS 200, expired in the late 70’s. This appears to be long discontinued, I couldn’t find any dev references to it.

Is there anything I should do to reduce fog/counter any other issues with old film?

The developers I have are HC 110, Rodinal and Diafine.

Thanks for the help!

Dev times for FP4 are the same as FP4+, give a bit of extra time to increase the contrast 15-20%. NeopanSS should be fairly similar.

I don't know how SSS compares to the current Neopan SS, but this is what I have on file for the current film:

Ilford ID-11, EI 64
Film rated at EI 64
Developer diluted 1:1 from stock
8 minutes at 20ºC/68ºF
Standard agitation

HC-110 Dilution G, EI 80
(provisional data, further testing will provide revisions)
Exposed at EI 80
HC-110 Dilution G1
22 minutes at 20ºC/68ºF
Standard agitation

I don't know how SSS compares to the current Neopan SS,

I have only seen Neopan SSS for sale once in my life, back in the 1970's I bought one roll. along with some Neopan SS. The SS was ASA100 like the current version, the SSS was ASA 200.
