Denver Area Get-Together Early 2006

Hi Everyone, This is a spin-off from another posting where renewed interest in meeting with fellow APUGers in the Colorado-Denver-Front Range region has been expressed. I would like to solicit some input from persons who would like to meet casually somewhere in the metro Denver area between now and this Spring. If you would be interested in meeting with this group please respond to this thread with your location, preference (if any) for where you would like to see the meeting take place, and days of the week which would be feasible with your schedule. I will then compile the data to see what would meet most responders' criteria. I would love to see a get together before Spring in case we decide to try to put together a photo trip.

Okay, I can do weekends or weeknights but I would like it to be some where north of 6th ave and west of colorado blvd. Those are my prefered choices, of course others may differ. I hope we can pull something like this off.

I'd prefer something in santa fe.

Santa Fe is very nice, but for economic reasons, I have to stick to the Denver metro area for the time being.

I can offer our facility if folks are interested. We would need to get a better idea of time and date and I can see how things are looking. Saturday and Sunday evenings seem to be the most open for us. Friday evening, February 24 is open as well as Mondays for the rest of February. We are located in north Denver at 40th and Tejon, not terribly far from downtown.

I am also happy to meet elsewhere if folks prefer. I am busy Wednesday evenings, but otherwise very flexible.

There are a few others that are not involved in this thread (yet) that I will contact.

If we have requests that we pick a later date, then we can adjust at that time. The most difficult logistically is the first meeting. Let's see how many we get to commit.

Denver Meeting

Hello All, I am very interested in meeting with Denver area APUGers. I am pretty open to evenings. I live in Louisville so most of Denver is good. Also may I suggest that we all bring two or three images to show. Any more than three might be too time consuming. Ken

Hello Everyone, At this time there seems to be a pretty good indication that Friday evening of the 24th at Paul Sorenson's darkroom on the near north side of Denver would be acceptable to several persons. We also have the option of Saturday evening on the 25th at Mr Sorenson's facility as well as a very generous offer from Barry Currence to allow use of his studio that same evening (his studio is at Wadsworth and Highway 36). If Sunday is better, Paul has also offered his facility that evening as well. How do these times sound to everyone (especially to the non-Denver area people)?
So tentatively we have:
1. weekend of the the 24th
2. evening meeting
3. choice of Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Could I have some feedback about that weekend? I will track the response for the best consensus possible.

Hi, count me in, too! If the get-together will be at the Denver Darkroom (Paul's offered facility), I can make it any of those three nights. Otherwise, either Friday or Saturday will be ok for me, but Sunday would be out because that's the night that I volunteer at the darkroom.

I'm looking forward to meeting some more Denver-area photographers.
