Ridiculous is a relative term and dismissive out of hand. In some ways saying that is little more than sneering which is no contribution at all. Now redefining or offering counterpoint, that is something different and useful. It doesn't take a genius to appreciate that you have much to offer.

I thought the assertions in the OP should be dismissed out of hand. Perhaps I should have used the word preposterous rather than ridiculous.
