Delta 100 Reverse Curl?

I've used Delta 100 for years in variou formats and it always seemed to behave "normally" as far as curling goes. That is, more during really dry winter months, curling toward the emulsion. Two students in the past week have developed rolls of 120 and the curl is toward the base. At least one lot has an expiration of Jan. 2009. I have developed an older lot in the same chemistry this past week and it behaved "normally" Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas of the cause?

Dried in too hot conditions?? I've been using Delta 100 in 120 format for years now and never had any curl problems unless I tried to dry then faster with a hot air.

Not drying temperature as thet were dried in a drying cabinet without a heat source. Room temp of 20 degrees C.

Is it possible the emulsion was coated on the wrong side?

Normally film will curl toward the emulsion.

This seems unlikely, but it's the first thing I'd be tempted to check for.

Which side of the film is less glossy?
