Spectacular Rolleiflex twin lens. Serial number 1081502. Beautiful cosmetics, superb optics, buttery focus. Speeds are on, crank is smooth and screen is super bright. Includes case and original lens cap. Would appreciate guidance on pricing. Maybe $300? I am reasonable and just want to make sure everybody is happy with the transaction. If price is out of line in either direction, I am glad to adjust. Enjoy!!

@davela - I agreed to sell the camera to you and no one else. Can’t imagine why you would’ve posted publicly before shooting me a PM. We agreed yesterday to a price and shipping terms and I only need your mailing address to get it moving to you.

@davela - I understand that poop happens, but you definitely trashed me publicly. Please publish a retraction and an apology in this thread, which hopefully will at least partially restore my reputation.

Why don't you both request a moderator edit davela's initial post to include that apology and retraction - use the Report Post function to make the request.
 
Thanks for the tip MattKing. I actually have never noticed that report post button until this moment. I think the offending post has been taken down so I’m not sure if that’s an option here however.

Yes indeed I am sorry and apologize. I was quite confused as I was sure you sold the camera to someone else after we had a deal (I saw your post here that it had been sold, but I thought it was to someone else).

If you prefer to sell the camera to someone else though now I understand. Jon and I have transacted without issues in the past - he's reliable - no worries there.

Can you be sure it went for that figure? It was offered a that price and few days later had a bump from the seller ( a reminder and not a physical bump) then it was closed to further replies. At least that's what it says on the link you gave us. No mention of the word SOLD

The title of the ad for the 2.8F clearly says “SOLD”. To be honest, that one was a bargain for a 2.8F in that condition with a recent CLA.
 
Yep, here's another one which went for $700, also over 2x of this one. I understand that some people are attracted to a Zeiss logo, but I gather that many are actually preferring the 3.5 lens... Anyway, prices seem to be all over the map, to an untrained/uneducated eye.
 
There are different f/3.5 lenses -- some Rolleiflex have Tessar (type), some have the Planar. The Planar seems to bring a premium, even over the f/2.8.

I have the same model Rolleiflex with a CZJ Tessar lens, and I paid $75 for it. If you are willing to be patient, and keep your eyes and ears open, these cameras can be had for far less than they often appear on the open market. On photography sites, they tend to be over-valued, for obvious reasons.
