hi

i have a chemical formula that i was hoping someone might be able to help me decipher
it doesn't put the weights or measures after the chemical name, but uses quote marks
like sodium carbonate ( pure ) 3 "
potassium bromide "
sodium sulphite '
hydroquinone . potassium bromide. "
warm water to 200g. 100" 12-5"
29" 2" J,, 290grs

i took chemistry a long time ago
i mix my own developer and fixer &c from raw chemicals
but i have never seen this notation before where it doesn't list weights or measures until after ...

can anyone ... share the joy ?

thanks !

john

I do not even understand those Inch measures nor that J as such...
Units are confusingly mixed too.

Could it be in/mol or cm/mol. the simple g is I believe grain whereas the grs is gramm weird to say the least. Where did you find that formula?

thanks for peeking
i found it in an old 'cyclopedia of photography ...
