Matches my observations. I've deyellowed 3 lenses, including a Takumar. Two with a UV lamp and one by leaving it in sunlight on windowsill. I put aluminum foil as a reflector around them and wait a week each time. They all remain slightly yellow but much less than how they started. Thank you for recording this.

I haven't looked at my 50mm Takumar in a while. She's safe in her special box mind you.

Great work .

I would take off the glass to do the de-yellowing process, since the heat would affect the grease inside.

Besides, I would do it will good ventilation. I found the smell of ozone once the lamp has been on for few hours.
