So who is coming to Trim this Saturday? I have the weather arragned
Anyone for pints on Friday night?

I'm coming Saturday, what time are you setting off in the morning and to where?
I won't make Friday though so you'll all just have to have one for me! (A hardship I know I know...)
And how did you manage the weather ??

I have no problem with an early start Saturday. How about 8am? I've no problem starting earlier.

If we start in the town to shoot the castle then it will be easy for any late comers to find us. After that we can walk (5 minutes) along the Boyne to Newtown Abbey (nice old grave for Fluffy) & St. John's Priory. In the afternoon we can drive to Bective Abbey (10 minutes).

I'm working on plan B at the moment so if the weather is bad we can hit the studio. Don't forget to bring any still life objects you might like to photograph.

Hi Vincent,

Great to have you with us. Just bring whatever camera gear you need and film etc. I can meet up from early Friday evening so any time is fine by me.

Do you need paper backgrounds? I've a roll of black and one white that I'm about to advertise for sale.

I'm sorted there Fino, thanks. I have black and white material which I am hanging today, should do the job.

I'm busy on Saturday, but would love to drop in and say hello (or in Fluffy's case, goodbye... for now) on Friday. That's if such slackness is tolerated...

OK bare with me on this one: The pub is KNOWN as Lennihens but the name over the door is James Griffin , its a long story.

To make things more confusing, there are another two pubs in Trim called Lennihens so don't ask for directions

Park your car at my place and my better half will drop you and Fluffy down. Everyone else has my mobile number so ring me for directions.

Oh and the stout is very good indeed :D

We might have to see how the pints go first

I suggested 8am in an earlier post but I don't mind earlier or later. It will be easy for Sile to find us if she arrives later.

I'm hoping to head from Bray by 7am at the latest, which has me arriving in Trim for around 8.30? I'm going to head for the Castle (am I right?) and the nearest coffee shop... and I'll give you a buzz then Peter.

Enjoy tonight.. wish I was going  Have one for me? (I'm driving early.. better not make it two).. Sláinte Fluffers..

I hope everyone got home safely, I had a great time. Thanks to Peter and Esther for the 5 star accomodation and breakfast.

Sorry to see Fluffys last outing before going back to Canada but delighted to have newcomers Tex and Martin.

I hope you have enjoyed all your trips with us Fluffy and have good memories (and negs of course). I also hope you will join us again someday, either here or in Canada

It was a really great day, Peter thanks a million for being our extraordinary guide for the day and for such good weather! Fintan thank you for hauling us around Trim and for the strawberries!

Fluffy I'm glad we got such glorious weather for your last trip, (so good in fact that I had a bright red nose last night), We'll meet again either here or Penguin style in Canada.

Tex good to meet you finally, hope you enjoyed your first outing with us. And Martin good to see you again, hope you can join us again soon.. and tell us all about Alaska!

Sorry could only hang around for a few hours in the morning. Was nice to put a few names to faces. Thanks for organising the great weather:smile: really was nice for taking shots.

Only took the one role of 120 on the day, a few scanned negatives from it if your interested, all the best

Martin

Martin They are some great shots that you took on the day. I really like your first one. Peter what a lovely part of the country you live in but watch out for open doors. Fintan watch out for closing doors and thanks for the lift back to Dublin. Catherine hope you got your bus back to Cork and I was only joking about Holgas ( some of my best friends own Holgas - I don't think). Sile you got the shot of the weekend even if it was with a D50. Andrew it must be funny to watch people open up as they consume more. Next time there is no going home your with us all the way.
Nice to have met everyone and put faces to names. Until our next gathering.
Cheers

Ha-ha, Vincent - not as funny as you might think...! I'm only teasing. It was great fun to meet up. I looked at my watch after about an hour and realised four hours had passed.
