I had one of these that I used with my c-1. The airlift did help when using the column to adjust height, but I wasn't sad to get rid of it (or the c-1). Might be good in a studio.

I have an older Compact Model C Tripod. It's built like a brick shithouse, but not the most "friendly" tripod to use. I have a rather large mopic head on it at the moment, but plan on replacing that with a Majestic.

I've got 2. Both have the big flat tilting table. It's the only tripod I'll turn my 7X17 on it's side to make a vertical with. Another feature is that big spring inside. When workshop participants set up in front of you at the Gorge of the Little Colorado, you quietly take your camera off and safely stow it on the ground, stealthily walk up behind them, take position, ready..............BAMMM!!!!

They're on their way for a 1000 foot 0 gravity ride, and your shot is ready for you to complete as planned.
