I hope he won't mind me saying so, but my good friend and fellow APUGger David (Ike) Eisenlord is currently in Cobh, Ireland where he won an Artist in Reseidency at the Sirius Art Center. He'll be living and working there for the next 5 weeks and is already posting some wonderful imagery via a Blog he set up for those that wish to follow.

I urge everyone with an interest to sign on and follow along with him through his daily posts.

Thanks!

Bill

Having seen Ike's work in person, I can't think of anyone more deserving.

Bill, thanks for the link.

I wonder if he'll be posting any live video.

I'm very pleased to see this. It was a pleasure to have met him last year at the shindig on Van. He achieves such beautiful tones in his prints. As you can see, he's already done some amazing prints there.

Cheers,

I love this entry:

"I thought I'd had Guinness but after having it here in Ireland, I realized I haven't. It's much richer and complex here in Ireland. You will have to trust me on that or come taste for yourself."
Although maybe thats why he's writing his blog in the bathroom :munch:

Not sure how many have been following Ike's journey, but he's done some amazing stuff over there. I just got a letter saying he's doing a platinum workshop in the next few days and then heading home. Seems like only yesterday he started. I'm really looking forward to seeing the prints!

Thanks for taking us along Ike!

Yes, I've been following... some wonderful images... quite the inspiration, actually. I've spent more time in the darkroom since he's been over there...

Cheers,

Would there be any chance to meet up for a pint or a mug of tea David?
