Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me please, I have just purchased a Kodak 35, non-RF with it's original box, the serial number is 36229. This doesn't follow Kodak's 1940 CAMEROSITY dating system so I was wondering if anyone could help me date it. I have attached some photos.

Thank you all in advance.

Yeah, They were introduced before the Camerosity code system became a thing.

This particular model was the 'entry-level' model with the least frills and a 'slow' lens.
The Kodex shutter is pretty indestructible though. And because the shutter is not linked to the film advance, they don't rip up the film like the unserviced ones with Kodamatic shutters can do.

I don't date my cameras, though we do spend a lot of time together...

Are the black knobs an early thing? Most of the pictures I can see have silver.
