I just received a catalog from United States Plastic Corporation, which might be of some interest to those of you who are setting up darkrooms. Check it out at www.usplastic.com. They carry everything you can imagine made in plastic - duct, hoods, fans(!), sinks, trays, Nalgene bottles, tanks, buckets, tubing, fittings, lab equipment, food prep, bins, raw materials, etc. The prices seem competitive, too. For example, check out the rear exhaust hoods designed for mounting behind sinks. They also carry canopy hoods and bench top fume hoods.

And for the things the need to be made of metal there is http://www.calstainless.com/ which sells stainless steel darkroom gear. Maybe it would be nice to have a thread just dedicated to suppliers and retailers of darkroom equipment?

Another nice resource! I agree with you on the need for a new thread. Also, how about one for tables, formulas, product comparisons (pricing, dimensions, weights, etc.)?

Another "gitting place" for darkroom equipment and alt process gear is Edwards Engineered Products. Just picked up a custom hood and await installation in the next couple of weeks. He is a great resource when deciding what pieces will serve your needs. If he doesn't sell or make it, he will tell you where to get it. Jon Edwards is someone worth knowing. www.eepjon.com Bill Barber

Oh my goodness, I just had a ridiculous and awesome vision of using US Plastic's clear PVC tubing for the drain piping in my under-construction darkroom. Plumbing, Jetsons-style! :D
