I'd have to dig through a trillion old slides but that sure looks like the same rock I photographed another @$$hole photogrpher from in 1978.

The Rangers there can tell you stupid people stories all night long.
 
Dupe thread, that was posted here a while ago and is coming from a Flickr post. The guy is not taking any risks, you are being fooled by the composition. The gap between the two rocks is not an abyss.
 
This thing has been kicking around the web for so long that most of the rocks in the photos have eroded away!

Is there a reason why this old thing showed up both here and on LF forum in the last 2 days?
