... it should run for office.

Nah, then it would only take half the photos it promised and the prints would exclude certain parts of the image. It would spend most if its time trying to impress but mostly just be in transit and not working. And when people did get together to exchange, it would demand $10,000 a plate dinners.

My house is overrun with spirits.....Talisker, Laphroig etc....:D

Camera 2 has arrived in AU!

(well, I have a box from Japan labelled Second Hand Camera, $5, but I haven't opened it yet)

 Yeah, I seriously thought about what to value Camera 8, and realized that no customs guys was ever going to appreciate the real value of what was inside the box! (after all, there is still no clear answer to what happened to cameras 7). Glad that only took a week to get down under (and as write this, said song by Men at Work is now playing...coincidence?)

Woo hoo.. we're really flying.. literally!

The bed is a good idea... but I'll need a bigger bedroom to fit the bed.. so it's back to the extension plans...

Unless anyone has a rather large tent?

That's the spirit Matthew!!

You're quite right.. there's no fun in everything going smoothly.. we all need a little action in our lives

Now the cameras will NEVER make it all the way home! I was prepared to play nice and move the camera quickly and accurately. Now I have to change my strategy:pouty:

Camera 1 is just doing a warm up spin. Camera 2 knows the ways of the world, this being its third trip out in the hands of youze guys. And I would say 5 bucks is about what it is worth.

Amazing what a cheep camera can do. It was purchased for KAP but it has flown so much higher.

Beer can chicken: the best:munch: I wonder if thebanana is back from the beer store?

Doesn't he live in the beer store??

Playing nice is not required... the higher the stress.. the more the fun :D

It's worth 5 bucks in real money.. but the stories it could tell are priceless..

Shawn and I have been discussing running Camera 9 simultaneously with Cameras 8a and 8b..........are we insane? (no smart arse comments tyvm!)....

I say you run 9, 10 AND 11 at the same time. I mean, how bad could it be

Cameras 9 & 10 are being tested as we speak!

I thought we'd put something different out there with one of these upcoming cameras. Testing the light seals and meter now, and if all goes well, perhaps in a couple of weeks we can get #9 started?

Hint: It's not point and shoot.

Trust everyone knows how to focus?

Yes, and count me in!

Congrats on your taste in usic btw Mooseontheloose!:D

I say we use my Kodak Retina without a light meter, sunny 16 rule only for one of these. Bare bones, old school, strictly by the seat of your pants, up to the photog to get the shot without any aids. We should be able to pull that off if we are photographers. There wouldn't be a meter, no coupled RF, its a guess the distance model. Just set distance, set aperture and speed, aim then shoot. I will supply the camera and include a speed/aperture/light condition chart and a roll of 100 speed film. That is my choice for one of these rounds.

It wouldn't be the first. I think it was #3 when Ole provided a 6x9 folder for its round-the-world journey. No meter... just a viewfinder for composition and speed/aperture settings for exposure.
