Is there anybody out there with a similar D800-problem to mine? I can't make any standard actual item physically fit the hot shoe on my D 800 it just won't let it go in whatever item I take always seems to be too big to fit into the groove.I can't make any standard actual item physically fit the hot shoe on my D 800 it just won't let it go in whatever item I take always seems to be too big to fit into the groove. Is this unique to my camera or do you have the Sim a similar problem? I appreciate any reply thank you.

No problem with mine but then I've only tried my SB800 and the wee cover that comes with the D800 but they fitted no problem.

my wife was smart enough to figure out my issue. I had the RF transmitter, which I was trying to fit locked before putting it on; feel so stupid. Intelligence has limits stupidity doesn't.
