D2V Cold light installation question

When installing an Aristo Cold light head, do you just install it under the Variable Condenser drawer unit and remove the condensers? Or, is there any other modification needed like removing the variable condenser box and mounting the cold light to the light bulb housing?
(I'm looking at a used D2V and Cold light from 2 different sources, and hope it will be an easy installation of the 2 units)

My D2 was not the variable condenser flavor, but the bracket that came with the Aristo 45 cold light head that I purchased allowed the cold light to mount to the arms used to raise and lower the head in place of the old condenser and light source. It was a very easy swap out.

It depends on the unit. My Aristo Hi-D cold light head drops down into the aluminum collar that would otherwise be used to hold the condenser lenses on my D-II. The diffuser replaces the bottom condenser lens that would normally be right over the neg carrier, and the light source fits right over the diffuser.
