I have a d2 that I primarily use for 4X5, as well as mf. But, the only lens board I have is the one with the cone to hold my 135mm lens. Makes it pia to do mf stuff. What lens board do I need to mount my 80mm lens? Flat? Shorter cone?

I believe a very short cone was made, but not needed. I have been using a flat board for a 75mm Wollensak and a 80mm Rodenstock for many years without a problem. BTW my older than dirt Wolly is better than the modern Rodenstock.

we use the flat boards with ours at the art center.

Shameless plug, if you need one check out the ad in the sale thread, i listed a whole bunch of boards, cones, etc that the school is getting id of, as we have a lot of extra stuff and no storage room.

Dear Bruce,

Years ago I was given a 90mm Rogonar-S that has a cone that is about an inch tall. It seems a bit short for 90mm (when going from the flat 50mm) but would work better with an 80mm.

Flat. Omega part# 421-100. For use with 50mm-105mm lenses (50mm for 35mm, 75-105mm for 2-1/4.) 80mm properly mounted and used with a 2-1/4 X 2-1/4 medium format negative will give you a 2x-10.2x image magnification. (Ref: Omega Instruction Manual)
