My cyanotypes are confusing me. I don't know if it's because I've recently decided to not bother changing to a 15watt incandescent bulb so i'm just in compact fluorescent bulb lighting but... my cyanotypes get this sort of yellow base staining, even on paper I've been using for ages without this problem happening to it. What's weirder is this base stain seems to disappear once it's dry and i take it out into natural daylight to look at it. So am I washing them enough or not??
I've tried it with paper I've previously soaked in 2% citric acid, I've tried washing in still water in my sink with an added 50-100ml of 5% acidity white distilled vinegar(I have pretty basic tap water, around 8pH + high in minerals)... that yellow stain does not budge until it is dry.
