Hi everyone,

I have a question about the compatibility between cyanotype and aluminum.

Does a coated sheet can be placed on an aluminum surface without being “contaminated” during the drying process?

I am asking you this question because I am planning to make a mobile drying rack.
I know that cyanotype is fully incompatible with any ferrous metal,
but I don’t know if this is the same with aluminum…

Why don't you try it and report back?

Because I want to know before spending money if someone had already made that before.
(I have to be careful with spendings at this time)

It'll cost you tenths of a penny to coat a sheet of paper and I'd be amazed ifyou didn't have some aluminium foil in your kitchen, or at least know someone who does. A neighbour perhaps?
