"Cult" point-and-shoot cameras

I am dying to get my hands on a Klasse. I don't want to pay the plane fare to Tokyo to get it. Is it available everywhere but the U.S.?

The regular Klasse is the Japan-only version of the Rollei AFM 35. The Klasse W was a further development of the camera.

If you don't care about color, you can look for the Rollei. It's nice little camera. Very slim and has a good lens.

I meant to include that the Rollei is a champagne-colored camera.

I would consider the above more of a rangefinder than Point & Shoots. Even though you could set them for a hyperfocal distance and shoot, you can do that with almost any camera. I would consider a point and shoot as a fixed lens 35mm camera with either autofocus or scale focus.

The Konica Hexar AF is a wonderful available light candid camera, yet deceptively simply and deceptively complex. In some ways it has no peer, justifying its "cult" camera status as the ideal stealth street camera

Yes. The manual focus is menu driven, you can set it to focus at .3, .4, .5, .6, .7, .8, .9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 5.0, 7.0 and 10.0 meters, and infinity. Once you turn the camera off, it will automatically reset to autofocus.

Sounds really useful. I've got the GR1s and the focus can be fixed at infinity and at two meters using a 'snap' mode. The latter is quite useful because coupled with setting the aperture to f16 everything is in focus from one meter to infinity and there's no shutter lag. But I like the idea of being able to set the focus to 0.3m.
