After being closed for moving, CSW Film Systems is open for C-41 processing!
They do all formats: 35mm, 120, 220, and sheet film.
I have been using them for a number of years and always had
good luck and good quality. E-6 processing will be available in the near future.

Contact information is:

CSW Film Services
215 Desplaines St. Suite 2S
Chicago IL 60661

Tel 312-454-3211

Unfortunately their website is not updated and still indicates that they are moving.

They processed my first 2 rolls of 120 a few days ago and they came out great!

Gamma was located on Erie st. ( i think) between Wells and Lasalle? I can't remember? getting off the "l" @ the Chicago stop, and walking to their location. If my memory serves me right. I think Gamma was on the second floor? Has Gamma closed?

Actually, the old Gamma location was on Superior St. between Orleans and Franklin. However, what is left of Gamma(not closed) is across the street from CSW on Desplaines St. I worked for Gamma many years ago.

This is good news! I have a lab that I'm happy with (the store in Springfield, IL sends out to their main location in St. Louis), but if you're looking for a lab in the Chicago area, I'd say these guys may be worth a try.

Spoke to the owner of this place, Oson Chin. He's been in the commercial photo business for 40 years. He was thinking of retiring when he lost the lease on his old place. He does work for some college programs and they begged him not to retire. So he's still doing the work for now. He's got an old school shop, still does optical color printing. His E6 machine was reassembled and a switch on it broke. So he's waiting for a new switch. Then he'll run some chemicals through and see if it is working correctly. Real old-time guy.

BTW I had a roll of C41 done, same day, $7.
