Creased some negatives- anyway to flatten them?

So...
I'm an idiot
I have a single SS reel and a single reel tank and a two reel Paterson system. So, of course, I wanted to transfer a roll from the Paterson reel to the SS reel, forgetting that I can't just unroll it off like I can on stainless... So I mangled and creased the leader and the perforations on this roll of Tri-X. Any solutions to fix it?

Dear Garage Boy,

If its creased, I am afraid it will stay creased. Nothing you can do, if you try to 'reverse' the crease it will make it worse.

Is this a roll that you have not developed and you are trying to figure out how to load the creased film onto a reel? If so you can reverse the film and load the far end of the film first. You may not be very happy with how the creased part of the film loads onto the reel but you should get most of the film developed okay.
To be any good at this stuff you have to make all the mistooks. Good luck.

It's loaded on the SS reel now (I hate that my index finger is too short to reach in and press the film onto the hooks) I'm trying to figure out if/how to fix it after its developed. (probably have some stress induced exposure around the edges)

After you are half finished with fixing, open the tank, unroll the film from the reel and finish fixing in an open tank or tray without the reel.

You can see-saw the film through the solution to ensure even coverage.

The perforations will be messed up, but the problems may not intrude into all the shots.

One more lesson learned, only a few million to go
