Compact Processor 800, which is currently being funded on Kickstarter.

Fully-automated rotary drum film processor. It can process up to eight rolls of 35mm film or four rolls of 120 film at a time and works for nearly every development style you’ll come across: black and white, C41 negative, E6 positive and ECN-2 motion picture processes.

Film reels (it’s compatible with Paterson, AP and Jobo 1500 reels) are loaded onto spindles which are mounted inside a ‘semicylinder’ wherein the film is aggitated through the chemistry. Film development chemicals are delivered to the development cylinder via a set of 12 hoses (six inlet and six outlet) that run from removable two-liter and five-liter storage receptacles. The machine offers the option to salvage chemicals that can be used multiple times and dump single-use chemicals.

You can make a pledge of AU$3,500 (plus $300 shipping outside of Australia), which would amount to about $2,721 or €2,328

On one hand I find it great that we in short time got several processor new on offfer (ready to sell or as investing project). On the other hand it becomes confusing to differ the features any longer...
This one seems in its tank principle similar to the just completed one by Midtone Machines.

As I already uttered in another such thread, it would be great if someone could make and post a comparison by features of all these machines.
The idea of a side-by-side test also has been uttered here.

Free R&D, that's what I think. Lots of people jumping the band wagon of small-scale developments, spurred on by enthusiasm and good access to electronics and small-volume manufacturing services. But most of these people will never see a financial reimbursement of the time they spend on performing this R&D, and end users are unlikely to have access to after-sales support, spare parts and consumables in the medium to long term.
So it all looks nicer than it really is, in my opinion.

As to the product itself: it looks magnificent, just like the others we've seen pass by lately. They're all wonderful - on paper.

You made a good point with referring to aftersales service.
But we should not forget that many firms from the old days also were very small enterprises (e.g. Wallner). The difference may be that these were founded to serve a market as such, where with such Kickstarter project, it may be about the realisation of just one product.

I just saw the Chromabox after posting this, very interesting indeed. I wonder why all of them are made so far away (LOL) Australia and New Zeland. The Chromabox seems to be quite good and almost finished, I also like that the creator is sending beta machines to people with knowledge to test them! Fun times!

Hey Andrew from Midtone Machines here, yes it's awesome that there are suddenly a bunch of options coming online for film developing, will hopefully make it easier for existing labs to keep operating and new labs to start up. I've been testing the Chromabox-4 processor prototype for about a year now and I have two beta-test machines boxed up at this very moment waiting for the delivery company to come pick them up. Hopefully within the next month I'll be getting results back from independent testing and I should be delivering machines through local distributors at least to the USA by the end of the year.
