I'm told that James is the first person who was on the Cornwall trip to get Swine flu :surprised: but he isn't bothered, and is staying at University until over it, rather than pass it on to family.

When he's back at University after the Summer he'd like to meet up with any APUG'ers shooting around Dartmoor. He's keen to start shooting more with film but would like some pointers/help.

Sorry to hear that Ian, please send him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

It appears that apug will be in the Peak District, and fadu will be in Middle England(!) this autumn. So perhaps a few of us in the southern/south western area could arrange a meet around Dartmoor? Anyone up for it?

Good idea Barry  Yes please on Dartmoor - one of my favourite places. Sorry to hear about James and wish him a speedy recovery. I heard today that my daughter Anna (teacher) has just been diagnosed with swine flu and is on the anti stuff. Quite a few cases now in the west especially in the Penzance area. We were over there on Friday - I am keeping everything crossed !

Sorry to hear that too Neil and hope both of you don't get it.

Perhaps when James knows when he will be on Dartmoor we can arrange something?

Anna's on the mend thanks and I luckily I've not seen her for a week or so but Jean has! Good idea about Dartmoor.

Having a busy job, it would depend on the actual date(s) whether I could attend, but it would be nice. There are plenty of places that do B&B around Dartmoor.

I managed to miss the gathering in Cornwall due to a visit to the Outer Hebrides, but would welcome a meeting with you guys on Dartmoor, Depending on the dates of course.

Just a thought,

Why wasn't Dartmoor put on the 'Where to go' list. There seems to be a lot of takers.

Dunno mate, maybe it is a bit too near Cornwall  But to be fair I don't think it got suggested.

Me too, if you all will put up with me! ;>}

Stoo

No problems with that Stoo - we can manage you OK  It will be good to see you again. I can't guarantee the Devon pasties will be up to the standard of the genuine Cornish ones though

Cheers, Neil.

Dartrmoor came up because James would like to meet up with anyone more local to the area who was shooting there.. He would cycle down from Exeter. He's looking to start getting into B&W photography.

Well there seems to be a good bit of interest with this one and there are a few of us here who know Dartmoor VERY well so it looks like a good idea. Especially if we can help James out with his photography. But at the moment we have the Peak District do for the autumn so maybe we could put this on the agenda for a meet after that if it is to be a week-end do to make it worthwhile for those who have do a fair bit of travel to get there?

Having said that if there are any 'local' photographers out there who would like to have a day bash on Dartmoor at anytime maybe we could look at that to?

Neil.

This is the main reason I would wish to go. I certainly wouldn't want to do a 'pop in, pop out again' trip

Soooooooooo much to see and do

I had previously voted for Dartmoor.. and I hope we have a week-end gathering there in the future.

Count me in whenever it is as long as it is a date I can make?

Ah the pasties, I keep getting withdrawal symptoms -))
