Continous tone lith developing problem

I've been trying to expose & develop Arista Lith film as continuous tone film. I exposed at iso 6 and developed for 7 minutes in 6+1 LC-1B developer. What I got is exactly what I got when I developed in diluted paper developer. A very faint POSITIVE image with just a few of the highlights as a dense negative. I'll try to scan it when I get home and post an image. Any clues?

Do you have a pH meter? Even one of those cheapie pool meters is very useful and you should spring for one if you are about to experiment with developers close to 7 as is Soemarko's Lc-1. You could be off by a little and the metol wouldn't work much at all. Also I add more (double) the HQ. Aim for pH7.5 or even 8. It needs LOTS of agitation.

When I expose ARISTA Lith processed in LC1 I expose at 1 asa. I have never seen a inversion/solarisation.

Are you working under a red safelight or an OC? It could be you are solarizing from secondary light exposure. IME, this film should be handled under red safe light at least one meter away.
