Hey there, new to the forums but did a search to see if this question has been answered already, and it seems that it has not.
My contax t2 needed a battery change. I changed the battery whilst a roll of film was inside. The number of photos shot is flashing double 0s and when the camera is on, it will not allow me to take any photos - more specifically there will be a click and the flash and light meter will flash red and then... crickets. Has anyone encountered this and does anyone have a solution? Many thanks in advance! I would have imagined the manufacturers would have had a solution for this use case and others online say other T models do not do this. Wondering if anyone has a solution, or if I will need to manually rewind my roll of film mid roll, cut my losses and load a new roll of film in?
p.s. I have popped onto, google, and some other forums to look if anyone else has the answer to this problem, and haven't found any answers super specific to this use case, but have heard a dead battery can be the kiss of death for the contax? If this is the case, anyone know how to manually rewind the film to I can at least save my film and cry about my new expensive paperweight after?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
