I had a 139 for a brief period. It was an OK camera, I've owned worse and I've owned better. It was small and light, which was nice, but the camera's covering peeled off in an alarming manner (actually it just crumbled into flaking pieces). I could have lived w/ that, but the shutter was a little loud, and I wasn't a big fan of the viewfinder. In the end, I preferred Leica R glass to Zeiss, so I sold it. No regrets. I still think R glass is just about as good as it gets in photography, and the Leicaflex Standard I bought is built to an amazingly high standard.

Me too. Loved my 139, but couldn't get along with the hyper sharpness of its Zeiss lens.

I don't know ... it can be hard to choose.
Nah !
Nine years ago it was easy , you just bought one of each , and told yourself you can sell the others on again .
But not at today's prices .
Luckily all the cameras I bought to try out that I didn't sell on again , I've still got . Now seems like a good time to be selling on again .
What I paid £15 for ten or fifteen years ago seem to be selling for £100 now .
Some are silly money these days . Down to supply and demand .
Most of my film gear was bought when everyone was dumping film gear for digital .
Now they want it back !
