Contax RTS with ceramic film pressure plate? Really?

RTS III, also created a vacuum which along withe ceramic film pressure plate kept the film as flat as possible. Not sure if the RTS II had the same back as the III.

RTS is the theme- we know which other cams have ceramics plate. RX doesnt have.

I think the RTS III was a major improvement of the RTS and RTS II, 1/8000 top shutter speed flash syn 1/250. Cannot recall any other 35mm with a ceramic vacuum pressure plate, maybe the Contax AF, body?

The ST has the ceramic pressure plate, but not the vacuum of the RTSIII. Lovely cameras. Sic transit gloria mundi.

It's true and it was exclusive to contax latest models I think.
I think it can make difference where critical focussing is necessary like maybe macrophotography.
But, draw your conclusion after reading the test on Pop Photo Sept 91 Page 62.

Actually the Contax RTS does not have a ceramic pressure plate. The RTS II does neither. The ST and RTS III do have one. Not sure about the AX.

Yes, the idea was not the material of the plate, but the vacuum.
