I have a Contact iii in need of repair. Are there any good repairers still around in the UK? I would give it a go myself, but given that I barely managed the Zorki, I suspect the Contax is outside my skill level.

Well... in my opinion Contax is more complex camera but easier to service, every piece has only one way to be put, no margin of error... instead Zorki camera let’s say you have some margins here and there to play with...
As I said... my opinion.

Open it up and have a crack you think?

I approached Newton and Ellis in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago about servicing my Rolleiflex, but they said they aren't working during the lockdown. I ended up sending it to Black on White in Bristol - he is working but only accepting postal deliveries as his office is currently closed. He quoted a 4 to 6 week turnaround time.

For a Rollei? Why didn't you send it to Brian M. I think he turns it around more quickly than that. Well he told me 7 to 10. Didn't specify whether that was days, weeks or months (I assume not years).

If you did a Zorki, I'm positive you can do this, I will send some papers in pm
I did a 4K. Not sure how well. And it was a mentally and emotionally painful process.

B on W have done repairs for me in the past, and I'm only about 30 minutes drive away so had initially planned on collecting it from there.

I use B on w, they've just serviced my Rolleiflex, they may be faster on other cameras, I was quoted 2 weeks but then it dragged on. Some cameras take loner to service than others and that's the case with a Rolleiflex, the other issue is the time it takes packing items for posting.
