Will a Contax GD1 data back for a G1 work on a G2?

I've wondered the same thing, as I never see the G2 back offered.

If memory serves, the G1 and the G2 have different sized backs, so they're not interchangeable.

I think 'no' too. I had the G1 and G2 a while back. If memory serves the G1 is smaller than the G2. Are the contax G pages still up, they might have a solution? -- martin

No, they don't cross-fit. Try watching KEH, Ffordes & Camera West for a GD2, or ask Bellamy of Japan Camera Hunter if he can find one for you.
