Contax G1 Question...

I picked up a Contax G1 with a Carl Zeiss Planar 2/45 T lens that I'm not that familiar with...It's working perfectly as far as I can tell, but, to me anyway, the AF focus seems noisy. My question for those that may have experience with this model is...Does this sound normal? Are these just a little noisy while focusing?

I've got several systems across the formats - Pentax 67II, Fotoman 617 with Rodenstock lens, XPan and Contax G2. The 45mm is my all-time fave lens - truly wonderful...

For 35mm photography I don't think that lens can be bested. It's wonderful, and worth putting up with a little noise.

Here's one from San Juan, Puerto Rico, taken with the 90mm lens (I THINK, but it could have been the 45).

I'm pretty sure this one was with the 45:

Both are Ektar 100 shots.

All the non-pano shots in this series on the pilgrimage up Croagh Patrick in Ireland are taken with the G2 - all but one picture with the 45. Some cropped a little. Click photos for larger slideshow.
