I built one of the LED light sources in the LF thread. The light panel wasn't entirely even so I put a piece of Roscoe diffusion under it. Using a picture frame from Target I spaced it about an inch from the light source and a half inch above the neg carrier. Works perfectly. I haven't had any issues using Ilford VC filters with the panel. An 8x10 neg enlarged to 11x14 has been about 20 sec at f/11 with Arista FB VC paper. Check out the LF thread above, several people have had good success.

I've been nothing but pleased with the Roscoe ND gel I bought for my condenser enlarger to give me longer times for dodging/burning small prints. Didn't realize they made diffusion gels, but a quick search of B&H turned up this:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/44042-REG/Rosco_RS302611_3026_Filter_Tough.html

Think it would work? 20x24 would give me easily enough material to do multiple layers, and it looks like its designed not to change color temperature, not to melt, and probably to transmit as much light as possible. Looks promising.

That's the stuff. Since it is made specifically for lighting it does the job.
