I just recently got back to shooting film and decided to purchase an Yashica Electro GSN. I found a couple on eBay and bought not one, but two of them. I only later heard about the pad of death issue these cameras often suffer from.

The problem is that there seem to be two different ideas of how to determine if the camera suffers from this or not. First I heard that there's supposed to be a 'clunk' sound when the film advance lever is used, then I heard that it's the 'clunk' sound that means that it does have POD.

I have one camera that makes a rather loud sound and one that doesn't make one at all. Both cameras are otherwise in very nice condition. The meter seems to work on both, and so does the shutter speeds.

Does anyone know for sure how I can determine which of them have the POD and which of them doesn't?

Thank you
