Saw this link on another forum and obviously thought it should be mentioned here  Cool idea and if it ever came to be, I could see myself buying one or two...or more

Very cool! Of course I always find it funny when they use Photoshop to make the product to allow analog film to be used by it is the modern world after all ;-)

Ilford better scoop that kid up and put the product out for purchase. I definitly would have to own a couple, one for me and another for my daughter.

What a fantastic design - she's really thought "outside the box".

And Rick's right - they should scoop her up - the old style promotional theme for Ilford is superb and refreshing! Just what analog photography needs, to help make it even more desirable.

Where can I get some?? - I'd love one as a talking point (and a couple to use as well!!)

I'd buy it. Several times. And give them as gifts.

Where is Mr Galley when we need him?!?

I'm impressed and that comes from someone who knows his packaging design and marketing. I find Ilford films way to expensive, but with this package, I'd buy a box or five.

BTW, I had the idea to package films in a kind of pinhole or box camera myself (when I built one and the only box I had lying around was full of films  ), but had no idea that it could look that good. I hope someone from Ilford notices this.

This is way cool. Wish they come up with a real production run of this!

That's fantastic. What a great way to introduce photography to young people. A kid could start out with this kit, then maybe graduate to a Holga...

Simon??? Chime in here, old chap.

How about a version for 4x5 film? hmmmmmmmmmm........

from what I've heard here and there, Ilford may not be interested in this. Not sure why if this is indeed the case, seems like a no brainer to me.

Not sure why...

because film is not "old," "conceptual" or even "cool"?

would you advertise bread or milk under any of these banners? the lomo crowd, to whom these boxes might sell a roll or two, usually won't even finish that second roll before they run back to their digicams. people who shoot film regularly and in quantity are quite comfortable with the modern aspects of the medium

:whistling:

If it means anything to anyone ... I know people that'd buy this for the box and not use the film...

I also think they should take a look at this. It seems interesting for a "classic" special edition packaging. Although Ilford seems to take a more modern approach with the minimalist design.
That TLR box might be an useful pinhole camera as well. "Ilford Pinhole + Classic edition film", anyone?
