Complete Soft Focus Outfit
4 sale is a "beater" 4X5 Speed Graphic camera with shutter curtain working perfectly. Included is a 210mm f4 Achromatic Meniscus Doublet soft focus lens. The idea is, this isn't your main camera, this is a tool in your tool box for when you want to do some artistic soft focus images. The images I've posted were made with this camera, this lens. It's a beautiful combination. $295 + something for the post man.
Fine Print; The shutter curtain has pinholes you can see when you hold it up to the sun. I had no trouble using this. You get your shot ready, you pull the dark slide with lens cap covering the lens, move the lens cap release the shutter, replace the lens cap and then the dark slide. Common sense with an 85 year old cloth shutter. ALSO the spring that holds the ratchet pall on the tensioning knob is gone to you have to manually hold that while changing tensions. Once it's done it stays. Inconvenient and probably repairable with a hair spring, but it'll be that way when you get it. This camera isn't for everybody. Perfectionista's need not apply. Creative problem solvers, this is for you. Those six images were made inside an hour. It's very easy to use if you grew up with stick shift cars.
