I've been trying to remember what was the possible current German rangefinder that might have been offered new in the U.S. alongside the equally new Olympus 35RD. This might have been about 1974. Voitlander? Exacta? I remember having to make a decision between the two and chose the Olympus, which serve me well until the shutter leaves got sticky. Anyone familiar with those then? It wasn't a Leica, as the prices were similar.

I think it could have been a Voigtlander VF 101 / Zeiss-Ikon S312... I think I made the right choice?

possible the minox or the rollei but many rollei's were made in Germany and neither has rangefinder.

One doesn't hear much about the VF101/S312, coming from a weird period of Zeiss-Ikon/Voightlander/Rollei confabulation. Mostly these days it's word of the Bessa's...
