My OM-2s (aka OM-2sp) has been almost completely reliable since I bought it new when they were in current production. I probably need to replace batteries in it more frequently than some other cameras, but it is easy to carry around extra 357 batteries (as they are now referred to).
I didn't include it in my earlier recommendation, because I didn't think that it would be different enough from the OM-2n you have already had experience with.
But if you want spot metering, than yes, I would suggest one.
