I'm sure other Combi users have already figured this out, but in case some have not..
I received mine free, box opened, but no instructions (if there were any) and unassembled. Assembling it was not hard, and the two orange guides were pretty self-explanatory. However, I found the actual use of the guides, though a nice theoretical solution, were a nuisance in practice. They easily popped off, etc. so I loaded the Combi without them for a while, but one had to be very careful not to let the ends of two sheets end up in the same slot.
My solution was a rubber band. Holds them on securely enough to load, slide the band down and lift off the guides after loading. Makes loading all 6 slots pretty easy. For all I know, the two notches on the sides were for this solution, or some part mine might be missing, that was covered in the instructions I never had. Anyway, hope this helps someone.
