Without a Classified Section this seems the most logical place to post this. JD, please move if it is not.

The title says it. I have a ColorBurst X-Photo 17" RIP complete with the dongle and original Software CD. If you aren't familiar with this RIP see all the info here http://www.colorburstrip.com/. Since it is the 17" version it will work on the Epson 4800, 3800 and 4000. I believe it will also work on the 2200 and 2400 but not sure.

The RIP sells new for around $700. You can have this one for $500.

I'm selling the RIP because I no longer own an Espon printer and Colorburst is still many many months away from finishing the work on a port to the Canon iPF 5000. Seems silly to hold on to it and wait. Send me a PM or email if you are interested.

I don't see an issue with posting it here. We will have a classifieds at some point.

Ted, Is the license transferrable allowing the new owner the ability to buy upgrades at a discount? Win, MAC or both?

The license is transferable and the software is Mac, not sure if the dongle will work with both. As I recall, the charge for software for anadditional machine is very nominal but I will check it out if someone is interested.

Colorburst's basic plan is to stick with a system that is based on printer size rather than printer manufacturer so, at least their current thinking, when they have done the code for the Canon iPF 5000 it will be a free upgrade for owners of the 17" software and the same for larger sizes when they do the HP z3100, etc. All of this is subjectto change. They had originally planned on havign the Canon software done by early this year but decided to do the upgrade for the 3800 first and now who knows when the Canon or HP software will be written? I am in fairly constant touch with Colorburst and they won't even give anestimate at this time, hence my desire to sell a fairly expensive item that has no use in my shop for the forseeable future.

Just in case your Colorburst is still around, I'd be interested.

Mr. Harris is deceased. His wife sold his photographic estate over on the Large Format Forum. You may wish to inquire there.
