Color meters

Is anyone here still regularly using a color meter + filters, especially for people-related photography? Or are you using gray cards / Gretag MB color charts and correcting on computers?

Recently looked into picking up a Minolta Color Meter IIIF, but was shocked at how expensive a used one still was.

I still use the Minolta Color Meter II, even with D if I don't want to shoot raw.
I don't need the flashmetering, mostly those shots tend to be good or can be corrected easily.
It is the only possibility to envision what you will get in mixed-light situations or when the lighting is not clear.

I have Minolta Color Meter II and only use it for tough situations. Most situations for color balance correction on film is known and published. Kodak and Fuji have charts for color correction for various lighting conditions.
