Color heads and the colors they use

Colorheads are the ideal solution for VC printing too. Super easy to use with continuous cc adjustability, and now relatively affordable. Plus you can do color printing too if you want to. If you want to do hard filtration split grade, simply have a flip-out arm for under the lens, or a threaded adapter, for sake of colored blue versus green glass filters, and set the colorhead itself neutral. But some colorheads have pushbutton control panels, so no need to turn dials on the head itself.

Yep. I basically bought a color enlarger intentionally for using it in B&W with VC paper. Very easy to do.

Hello everyone,

I have a related question:

Is there a table with color head equivalents for variable contrast filters?
I have a GFA67 and was wondering what values do i need to set to be close to Fomapan filters or Ilford filters (and combinations of them).

Something similar to what this gentleman did.

What paper are you using? The few different multigrade papers I have used all have a table printed in the datasheet. Otherwise you can make your own table.

I'm usually using Fomaspeed Variant RC, matte or gloss.

Thanks, I guess i should do comparative prints and try to find my way to some equivalents.
I'll try that using my Stouffer wedge.
