Collapsible lens on early Leica M6 ?

Is there an issue with collapsible lenses on early M6 bodies? I thought that I read somewhere that there was a chance (or certainty?) of mechanical interference on the early M6 bodies....but, of course, now that it is of concern to me, I cannot find any definite info.

As I recall the interference was with the swinging arm cell. When the cell would either hit the lens or the lens would be
collapsed with the cell in the metering position.
Not having used one of those new fangled M6's I don't know if it's got a mechanical arm like that.

The meter cell sits on a swinging arm in the M5 and the CL. The M6 uses a different design - the cell sits fixed in the base of the camera and reads reflected light off the shutter curtain. It's possible that a lens that sits deep inside the camera will obstruct the view of the meter cell in the M6, but at least there isn't any swinging arm to collide with.

I poked around with google a bit and found the reference I was thinking of... https://www.cameraquest.com/m50dr.htm but it pertains to the 50mm Summicron DR - not the collapsible(s).
So....good new is that collapsible lenses are OK and the memory cells are not completely kaput (I go out to the garage and forget why).
