Cleaning the Nikon LS-9000 glass negative carrier

Any tips for cleaning the Nikon glass negative carrier? The glass isn't removable from the plastic tray so any soaking in distilled water and wetting agent methods are probably not going to be practical.

i did some minor cleaning once to get rid of finger prints on it. I just use the cleaner and lens cloth I use to clean camera lens and it works fine on the holder glass.

Cleaning the scanner glass on nikon 9000

I have used lens cleaner on mine, but still have a *%#4@
of a time getting the fine spots off. I am off to the photo shop in search of wisdom.
