Hello,

I just bought the new 10X12 contact printing frame from Freestyle. Haven't tried it yet but it looks very well made. Any ideas on the best way to clean the glass without scratching? I have heard Bounty towels and ammonia/water mixed.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
John

My favorite--clean room cloths. Probably not an option for everyone.

Second favorite--baby wipes. The cloth variety, unscented (unless you want your camera equipment to smell like a baby!). They don't leave lint. The main problem is that they are too damp, and I sometimes need a dry cloth to dry.

A couple of dabs of grease cutting dish soap, hot water and a soft towel should do the job..

That is what I use on the screens.

Since it's glass, why not Windex, or some other glass cleaner? Though the dilute ammonia method sounds just as good.

I use a product called "Invisible Glass" which can be found at automotive stores or a Wally's World. Great stuff and dries very fast. tim

don't use one of those anti-static cloths - they will leave a residue ..
unless you are looking to make some soft focus contacts

Windex spray and photowipes. Do not use the Windex cloths with the windex already added--they shed.
