I just picked up Kodak Model 1 densitometer that is in incredible shape for it's age. However it has quite a bit of dust when looking through the eyepiece. I've blown off and wiped the obvious surfaces but I'm not getting most of it. Can someone advise on how to proceed cleaning it up?

Thanks!

You could try taking it apart to clean but I never have. One of the colour filters in mine is
cracked but I just live with it. Just make sure both light bulbs are the same age and voltage.
As long as you can see the step wedge it should be fine. I assume its the 'Color' densitometre
same as mine?

Best regards,

/Clay

It is the color model. I was thinking about taking it apart but was hoping to find a diagram or some advice before trying. I could probably live with it. Thanks for the advice.

All my darkroom stuff is in storage after a move. When I dig out the manual I will see if
it says anything about cleaning. May scan and post the manual, but may be quite a while
'till I unpack my stuff. Try a google search for an on-line manual.

Thanks Clay. I've got a copy but it's pretty sparse.
