I have a gallon of Clayton Odorless fixer (undiluted, full-strength) that I opened three months ago and used about half of it. The bottle was closed tight. When I reached for it today I saw the bottom 1/3 of the gallon container coated milky white. I am out of fixer testing solution, so I can't check it. I've never had fixer sit for this long. Do you think it has gone bad?

Fixer doesn't particularly suffer from shelf life issues in the way that developer does. Just check it with a film leader as reub2000 suggests to be sure it still works.

Mr. Tonelli:
If you find that our fixer does not work, I will replace it. The Odorless fixer is loaded with goodies and as some of the water evaporates, you can get some precipiation. Unless the fixer has sulfurized (yellow crystals) it shoud still be effective.
