The Reproduction of Colour , by Dr. Robert W. G. Hunt, 6 x 9" 500 pages published by John Wiley 1967. If you are interested in understanding the technical details of photographic color reproduction you'll find this book to be amongst the very best. Dr. Hunt was a member of the British Kodak Research Laboratory and a lecturer at the Imperial College of Science and Technology. He was an international expert in color and a fellow of the Royal photographic Society, the Physical Society and the Royal Society of Arts. It is very well written and easy to understand even if you're not a scientist.
