With respect to the SB-910, if I remember correctly, it's only fully functional on the F6. Doesn't have the non-TTL automatic metering cell that the 800 and 900 have. Also doesn't have the regular TTL circuitry for use with older Nikon analog bodies that can do TTL flash, like the F3 with an AS-17, FE2, F5, etc...

If you have an off-topic Nikon body that you're keeping, maybe hold onto it for that?
